Made for water

A standard fragrance oil is a blend of materials that do not dissolve in water. The concentrate carries the same composition in a system that dissolves or disperses finely, so a clear spray stays clear without a solubilizer of your own. It is its own formulation, made to order with production minimums, with its own documents. The ordering details are on our Water-Soluble Fragrance page.

Your numbers, on every oil

Choose the scent from the standard oil, which is in stock by the ounce. Its page carries its flash point, its IFRA sheet and its allergen statement; the table further down lists every oil with its scent words and documents. The concentrate's own sheet sets the ceiling for your product and comes with the order.

Common questions

Can I order the concentrate online like the oils?

Not yet. The concentrates are made to order with production minimums. The Water-Soluble Fragrance page has the details, or tell us the oil, the product and the volume.

Will my spray stay clear?

That is what the concentrate is for. Clarity in your exact base, at your dose, is a test, as with any fragrance system.

Are there minimums and a lead time?

Yes. Each concentrate is made to order, so the minimum and the lead time depend on the oil and the volume.

Does a shampoo or a cleaner with surfactants need it?

Usually not. A surfactant base carries a standard fragrance oil; the laundry and cleaning page covers those. The concentrate is for products with no surfactant and no oil phase.

Which documents come with a concentrate?

Its own, supplied with the order, because it is its own formulation. The standard oil's sheets, linked in the table, describe the oil you chose from.

Can you develop a water-soluble scent that is only ours?

Yes. Private Stock composes an original fragrance to your brief, with the same perfumer.

Who makes these oils

Every oil here carries the name of the perfumer who composed it. Our perfumers are a small, hand-picked group who work to one standard, set by Cécile Hua. Each oil is compounded in the United States to its reference, checked batch by batch, and released with a Certificate of Analysis.

The oils available as water-soluble concentrates

Every stock oil below can be made as a water-soluble concentrate to order. Scent words are the oil's own family words from its page; the documents linked are the standard oil-soluble oil's IFRA 51 Regulatory Data Sheet and Safety Data Sheet, as served on October 27, 2026. The concentrate is its own formulation and comes with its own documents, so no IFRA maximum is tabled here; your finished product's category and the concentrate's own documentation set the limit.

Can these oils go into other products?

Yes. The same oil scents a candle, a soap, a lotion, a perfume or a room, within the ceiling its IFRA sheet gives for that product category. The sheet lists all twelve categories; the table above carries the ones this page's brands read first.

Are they suited to a small launch and a larger one?

Both. Buy by the ounce to test and by the pound to produce, with no minimum and no lead time. Every batch is compounded to the same reference and released with its Certificate of Analysis, so what you sampled is what you scale.

Where do I find the IFRA and SDS documents?
