Pitch Black

I've taken a while to get around to smelling my sample pack and the scents were still in tact. After smelling PITCH BLACK, I kept going back to take another sniff of it as I went through all of the ascents (which took a few days by the way). I wasn't expecting it to smell the way it does. My method is to smell the scent first and try to figure out the notes before checking website for description, this made it so much fun. I love this scent, can't get enough of it. I'm also a migraine sufferer and sometimes when I get fragrance oils delivered and have sniff tests it gives me the worst headache. SF oils do not have that effect on me.

As soon as I smelled this scent I knew I had to make something with it. It’s one of the most attractive scents I’ve come across. While some might classify it as cologne like, it has feminine traits too! An awesome pick.

To me, this is masculine leaning. Smells woody and amber with a little spice. The rosemary is extremely subtle which balances and lifts the fragrance. Very refined scent!

I love this scent, I added sandalwood, bergamot and vanilla essential oils for a body spray. It is masculine leaning but can be unisex

Not your mother's Rosemary! This is a brilliant combination to use rosemary with a salty, smokey caramel. It is a fresh gourmand which is unique and wonderful. This scent leans masculine but I am guessing will be popular with both. I added some activated charcoal to the scented batter thinking it was turning dark anyway. However, just a few days new, this bar is olive colored. This is a great stand alone scent that I envision using in multiple applications. I also mixed with Jet Setter as one reviewer suggested, and it is a beautiful combination. Soaped with no real issues. Slight acceleration.

I'm currently exploring multiple fragrances from StockFragrance, and I thought I'd share my impressions as I go. I've personally found it incredibly valuable when others post their detailed notes, and I hope my observations can be equally helpful to anyone else considering these scents. I'm aware some may have different experiences but, I truly believe that sharing our individual experiences, even if they vary, is incredibly valuable for everyone! FORMULATED 03-25-2025 – RICE BRAN & CASTOR OIL ONLY - I TESTED A TOTAL OF 9 DIFFERENT SF OILS (Soaped between 90F-95F) ( USED 8% SF OIL OF TOW) a. Discoloration to a lighter brown. NO Acceleration b. Easy to work with * 04-17-2025 – SCENT RETENTION – ALL scents used in this section blossomed. I was pleasantly surprised on the intensity of scent almost one month later. * Current date: 05-13-2025 - Still smells lovely. It did fade a bit but you can most definitely tell it is Pitch Black. I used this soap for the very first time today and the scent is present on the skin even if just a little more than a whisper.

I actually pair this with Jet setter, it creates a fragrance that is a crowd favorite. This fragrance will always be on my list to order.

I really love this fragrance. I appreciate how they captured the freshest aspects of rosemary, skillfully removing any pungency in the opening. The smoky caramely woodsy experience that follows is surprisingly pleasant—I usually don’t gravitate toward smoky aromas, but this one is subtle and beautifully blended.

I don't like the scent of hemp oil at all. Yuck. But I was gifted a bunch. I used Pitch Black in a formula for foaming hemp oil and wow, now hemp smells great. I am shocked. 2 thumbs up!

Wow this smells amazing. Stock Fragrance does a wonderful job blending different notes .I would have never guessed you could this blend using rosemary .Rosemary has a distinctive smell. This blend is another winner for me. I love this as a masculine scent for cologne.

You've done it yet again Stock Fragrance. You've made another perfect fragrance! My nose detects a touch of smoke with woody undertones and herbs & spice all nestled in a very mildly sweet note (very mild) that compliments it just perfectly. My husband is very....difficult to wow with scents/colonges or any fragrance really. He immediately liked this one. I made an EDP for him and he did not give it back to me. It was the first time he had an immediate " I like this one" reaction. I happen to love it with my chemistry but with his, it's a bit divine. :)

Pleasant manly scent. Did anyone else experience the soap turning yellow in the mold from this FO? I didn't add any colorant since other reviews have seen this FO turn smoky black.

I thought I had my favorite scents from this company, but this just bumped one of my fav 4! It's smooth like velvet, it draws you in and it's a sexy scent. This fragrance evolves into an other-worldly aromatic gourmand that is as complex as it is addictive. You can't go wrong with this fragrance!

It was ok

Writing this to leave my CP soap performance notes here. I tested this at 4%, and the IFRA maximum rate is 11.39% for category 9. The fragrance accelerated some and I had to move fast to be able to get it into my mold smoothly. It also turned batter a smoky grey color upon contact, and then discolored to a toffee color post cure. Has an excellent scent retention!

I love this scent. I can distinctly smell rosemary with this yummy vanilla / caramel note that comes off more as gourmand than as actual caramel if that makes sense. It behaved alright in CP… but it’s hard to tell because I only did one color and I soaped hotter than usual so it would set up faster for me based on what I was doing with my design. You should be good if you soap cool and use the stick blender minimally. This one does discolor though. I can tell even though my soap is black, there’s a yellowy tinge. I think this one will turn yellow which will then fade to either dark tan or light brown.
