A laundry fragrance rides a surfactant base through a lot of water, often at a high pH, and still has to read as clean on the fabric afterwards. These oils are composed for that, in detergent, softener, dryer products and hard-surface cleaners. On each oil's page, brands among our customers say what they made with it and how it held.
Your ceiling, on every oil
Each oil's IFRA sheet states how much of it a detergent, a softener, a spray or a hand soap may carry; the sheet names each. That figure sits on the oil's page beside its flash point and its Safety Data Sheet. The numbers for all 72 are in the table further down, for when you're comparing; once you've chosen, the oil's own page is where to read them.
Common questions
Which IFRA category is a detergent?
Detergent, softener and a non-spray cleaner share one category; a fabric or air spray is another, and hand soap a third. The IFRA Category Lookup Tool names yours by product type.
Will the oil disperse in my base?
In a surfactant base, yes. A product that is only water, like a linen spray, wants our water-soluble line.
Which oils suit a powdered detergent?
Any of them. A powder carries the oil on its base material instead of in solution, and the category is the same. Brands' reports on the oil's page say how it held.
How long will the scent last on laundry?
It depends on the base notes, the dose and where the oil goes; softener and dryer products leave more on the fabric than the wash. Other brands' reports on the oil's page are the surest guide.

Who makes these oils
Every oil here carries the name of the perfumer who composed it. Our perfumers are a small, hand-picked group who work to one standard, set by Cécile Hua. Each oil is compounded in the United States to its reference, checked batch by batch, and released with a Certificate of Analysis.
Every oil's numbers for laundry and cleaning: IFRA maximums, flash point, documents
Each figure is transcribed from the oil's own documents as served on its page on October 27, 2026: the IFRA 51st Amendment Regulatory Data Sheet (the maximum for each product category) and the Safety Data Sheet (flash point); the review columns count the verified buyers on the oil's page who said they made a laundry or cleaning product with it and the strength they reported. Category 10A is household care excluding sprays (detergent, softener, dryer products, cleaners), 10B household and fabric sprays, 9 rinse-off hand soap. An IFRA maximum is the ceiling for that category, not a usage recommendation. A dash means the documents do not give that figure or no buyer has said so yet.

Yes. The same oil scents a candle, a soap, a lotion, a perfume or a room, within the ceiling its IFRA sheet gives for that product category. The sheet lists all twelve categories; the table above carries the ones this page's brands read first.
Are they suited to a small launch and a larger one?
Both. Buy by the ounce to test and by the pound to produce, with no minimum and no lead time. Every batch is compounded to the same reference and released with its Certificate of Analysis, so what you sampled is what you scale.
