What it is
Private Stock is our custom fragrance design service: an original scent, developed from the ground up for your brand. Every Private Stock fragrance is original and confidential — no dupes, no types, no exceptions — and every project is developed by a group of hand-picked formulators.
What the fee covers, and what it doesn’t
The $1,500 formulation fee reserves your place in our development queue and covers the design work: your brief, the kickoff call and two rounds of trial submissions. The finished oil is priced separately, by the pound, and set with you during briefing. If it isn’t the right fit, we refund the fee minus a $100 review fee.
Tracked on your account
From purchase to final formula your project lives on your Stock Fragrance account: the brief and its revisions, the kickoff call, every trial submission with its date, your approval, the files you send us and the files we share with you, and — once produced — your oil with its own documentation, to reorder from the project page. Private Stock counts toward your VIP status: the fee and every custom-oil order count toward your annual spend, and at VVIP a custom fragrance design is complimentary, claimed from your account.
What happens after you buy
- Brief neededYour account opens the brief the moment the order lands; what you write below rides along with it.
- Kickoff callWe’ll review your brief together on a kickoff call — we’ll reach out to schedule it.
- In formulationOur formulators go to work. Allow 4 weeks for the first submissions.
- Trials to reviewEach trial submission is listed on your project (MOD 1, MOD 2 …) with its date. Smell them and say what to change: two rework rounds are included, further rounds are $500 each.
- ApprovalApprove your final formula on your account — one approval per design purchased.
- Your oilProduced to your approved formula and listed on your account with its own documentation. Reorder by the pound from the project page — you and the buyers you authorize, each oil at its own minimum, one checkout. We never transfer or disclose the formula.
