We don't transfer or disclose our formulas — that's standard practice across the fragrance industry. What you get is exclusivity: your custom fragrance is made only for you and available to order anytime from your Private Stock project page, by the pound, for the buyers you authorize.

Every Private Stock project lives on your account under Account → Private Stock. It shows an eight-step tracker with dates — order received, brief, kickoff call, formulation, trial submissions, reworks when requested, approval, complete — plus your brief as a read-only record, the kickoff call notes once published, each trial submission as it ships, your written approval, the files we share with you, and, once your oil is produced, ordering by the pound with its documentation. If we revise your brief after the kickoff call, the revision is dated on the page and the changed fields are named. Sign in with the email on your order.

Yes. Private Stock is a service order on your account, so the formulation fee and every custom-oil order count toward your annual spend in the Stock Fragrance B2B program — VIP at $1,000, VVIP at $5,000 and VVVIP at $10,000 in a rolling 12 months, tied to one account email. VVIP and VVVIP members can also claim a complimentary custom fragrance design from their status page. VIP catalog discounts don't apply to custom oils. VVVIP members also receive complimentary proactive fragrance development — original concepts we develop with your brand in mind, which appear on your project page as projects opened by Stock Fragrance.

The email on your order sees the project and gives the approval. When your oil is produced, you and the buyers you authorize can order it from the project page — tell us which team emails to add and we'll list them, and we remove them at your request.

The documentation your oil needs is posted to its card on your project page as it is issued — IFRA Regulatory Data Sheet, SDS, allergen declaration and the compliance statements — for you and your authorized buyers to view and download.

Every project starts with multiple directions for your brief. From there, two rounds of reworks are included in the formulation fee; additional rounds are $500 each — just let us know what you'd like changed after each round.

Yes. Every project is treated as confidential. We generally don't need or use an NDA — but if you require one, please just let us know.

No — no dupes, no types, no gimmicks, no exceptions. Everything we design is original. You're welcome to share inspiration and references to steer the direction, but we won't recreate another fragrance.

Any product. Whatever you're making — fine fragrance, personal care, candles and home, or laundry and cleaning — we formulate the oil for that application.

Yes. Certification and compliance targets are part of the brief — IFRA, EPA Safer Choice, ISO 9235, Clean at Sephora, retailer or regional standards, and more. Keep in mind that the more certifications you stack, the more restrictive the palette becomes, which can narrow the creative range.

Nothing has to happen in person. The entire process can be done remotely, and we ship samples anywhere in the world.

Custom oils are subject to production minimums that vary by formula, starting at 25 lbs. If a run is larger than you need right now, we'll hold the extra in storage at no additional charge and ship it as you go.

Standard production lead time is 10–14 business days, subject to raw-material availability. As a rule of thumb, we recommend ordering at least six months' worth of oil about six weeks before you need it.
