what is water-soluble fragrance?
Working with a base that is not oil based or requires water-soluble fragrance? We have a patented micro-emulsion process used to create effective and environmentally friendly water-soluble fragrance concentrates that can deliver intense, effective fragrance where oils will not work.
This eco-friendly process uses nature derived and sulfate-free surfactants to create a transparent and readily biodegradable concentrate. These water-soluble micro-emulsion solutions are safe to use and handle, flameless and help reduce waste by minimizing the amount of water needed to produce and transport finished products.

Any of our fragrances can be converted into water-soluble format and are available by special order. Special orders are subject to production minimums and may require a setup charge based on order size ($1,500 maximum).

Water-soluble fragrance uses
in-wash liquid scent booster
- Add directly to the liquid fabric softener compartment to deliver long-lasting fragrance on fabrics without the use of microcapsules
- For all fabric types, including synthetic fibers
- Add malodor actives to increase freshness (requires PRIVATE STOCK)
- Ultra-concentrated formula can be delivered in monodoes or auto-dose packaging
concentrated cleaners
- Enhance all-purpose and other surface cleaners with intense, long lasting fragrance that can be added directly by consumers
- Reduce water transport, shipping and packaging costs, consumer adds directly to concentrated cleaners
- Enable fragrance layering, personalization and combination by the consumer when cleaning
- Ultra-concentrated formula can be delivered in monodoes or auto-dose packaging
Water-based reed diffusers
- Deliver high dosage, water-based and CARB compliant (VOC < 18%) fragrance using reed diffusers
- Reduce water transport, shipping and packaging costs, consumer just adds water to create final solution
- Use with special reeds to optimize fragrance release/evaporation
